But did you know that you can easily make a delicious latte at home? Follow the directions in this latte coffee recipe and you can enjoy a perfect latte made in the comfort of your own home.

Ingredients for Latte Coffee

  • 2 shots of espresso (or 1/2 cup of strong coffee)
  • 1 cup of milk (preferably whole milk, but 2% can be used if you don’t have whole milk but it will be less creamy and forty)
  • 1 tablespoon of sugar (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract (optional)

Directions for Latte Coffee

Brew your espresso shots or make strong coffee using your preferred method. You can use an espresso machine, a French press, or a Moka pot.

  • Heat the milk in a small saucepan over medium heat. You can also use a milk frother or a microwave oven to heat the milk.
  • If you’re using sugar, add it to the milk and stir until it dissolves.
  • If you’re using vanilla extract, add it to the milk and stir.
  • Froth the milk using a milk frother or a whisk. You can use a handheld milk frother or the steam wand of an espresso machine. If you’re using a whisk, heat the milk first, then whisk vigorously until it’s frothy.
  • Pour the espresso shots into a coffee mug.
  • Slowly pour the frothed milk over the espresso shots, holding back the foam with a spoon.
  • Spoon the foam on top of the latte.
  • Sprinkle some cinnamon or cocoa powder on top of the foam, if desired.
  • Serve and enjoy your delicious latte coffee!

  • You can adjust the amount of sugar and vanilla extract to your liking.
